Nikki Alstedter

GYROKINESIS® Master Trainer
Nikki Alstedter first came to the practice of Pilates as a professional dancer, aerial acrobat, and cranial sacral massage therapist in 1997. The Pilates principles of posture and dynamic alignment presented an arena of vast healing potential and transformation that guided her educational path and experience. As an entrepreneur, she is founder of Arlùnviji Transformative Movement in Santa Barbara and co-owner of Pilates Studio City in Southern California. She currently teaches the Gyrotonic Method, Pilates, Gyrokinesis Method, Da Vinci BodyBoard™, Nia, Burn at the Barre and Franklin Method®, and is a Master Trainer for Pilates Sports Center and Da Vinci BodyBoard™ System. In addition, Nikki has been mastering an energetic healing system called Quantum Kinetics for over 15 years, which is a gentle hands-on approach that utilizes the body’s electrical and myo-fascial system in relation to structural stability and wellness. This experience has given her a unique understanding of the body’s integral system of healing within a clinical setting. Nikki is dedicated to inspiring intelligent movement that integrates and awakens awareness to enhance the quality of LIFE.
Sher Borrell

GYROKINESIS® Master Trainer & GYROTONIC® Pre-Trainer
Sher Borrell has loved moving and dancing most of her life. She comes from a family that enjoys dancing, exercise and staying active. She holds an A.A in general education, a B.A. in dance from the University of California, Irvine, has passed her grade 5 Cecchetti ballet exams, performed on dance teams and has always been interested in cutting edge fitness. Upon her college graduation, she joined the Nannette Brodie Dance Theater in Long Beach where she taught and performed nationally and internationally for schools, festivals, shows, galleries, and fashion events. This work inspired her to start her own dance collaborative in LA where she produced her own show and worked with numerous multi-media artists. While dancing, Sher received her Pilates Certification under Tracy Fitzpatrick at Aline Studios in Newport Beach. Sher assisted Tracy in working with professional athletes, teams, dancers and businesses while helping manage her studio. Tracy introduced Sher to GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® and (with gratitude) she completed her final certification under Julio Horvath.
At Aline Studios, Sher developed “Ballet Fit” class (for dancers and non-dancers) that was a huge success. Sher continued to dance, teach, and share with students from all walks of life, from sports enthusiasts to senior citizens. She is both a GYROKINESIS® and GYROTONIC® pre-trainer under Lisa Marie Goodwin. She has studied with numerous master trainers in the states and abroad, and is certified on all of the specialized equipment. Under Paul Horvath and Uwe Herbstreit, she has completed the therapeutic applications for pelvic girdle, shoulder girdle and scoliosis. Sher has taken the rejuvenation course, GYROKINESIS® level 1 and level 2, and GYROTONIC® level 2 with Julio Horvath. She has completed GYROTONIC® Applications for the Hip and Knee with Lisa Marie, GYROTONIC® Psoas Principles, GYROTONIC® for Golf , GYROTONIC® for Dancers 1 and 2, and other specialized courses in both modalities.
Sher’s rich history (with over 20 years of teaching experience), zeal, and passion for the work is felt in every session and class. It brings her great joy to see peoples lives change while connecting in mind, body and spirit. Sher currently teaches at a private country club in Indian Wells, in Los Angeles, throughout California and internationally. She looks forward to working with you.
